Do you wish to install the 3in1 thermal gimbal onto your own Inspire 1, then you would need to install the power cable first:

If you have ordered the 3in1 thermal gimbal (or the VUE PRO R mount) for your own Inspire 2 and have chosen not to modify the Inspire 2 with the power cable, than you will receive a special mounting bracket, which allows you to slide on thermal gimbal, with in the upperside space for the battery which will power the gimbal: Pdf
